« 70 ans de FACEL VÉGA » 6-10 juin 2024 à Beaune

Pour mémoire (voir nos communications précédentes), le 47e rallye de printemps sera placé sous le signe du 70e anniversaire de FACEL VÉGA.
Un grand rassemblement national et international FACEL VÉGA se tiendra dans ce cadre à Beaune, en Bourgogne, du 6 au 10 juin 2024.
Les inscriptions seront ouvertes dans quelques semaines.

Voici maintenant quelques informations sur l’avant -programme de ce rallye événement.
Deux hôtels (3 et 4 étoiles) seront proposés, à des tarifs différenciés et accessibles à pied du centre-ville de Beaune avec plusieurs options d’arrivée à partir du jeudi 6 juin après-midi.

As a reminder (see our previous communications), the 47th spring rally will be held under the banner of the 70th anniversary of FACEL VÉGA. A major national and international FACEL VÉGA gathering will be held in Beaune, Burgundy, from June 6 to 10, 2024.
Registration will open in a few weeks.
You all have already written down and blocked the date in your diaries;

Here is some information about the pre-program of this rally event.
Two hotels (3 and 4 stars) will be offered, at differentiated rates and within walking distance of Beaune city center with several arrival options from Thursday 6 June afternoon.

Avant-programme / vendredi 7 juin

Par de sympathiques petites routes bourguignonnes le long de la vallée de l’Ouche et du canal de Bourgogne, nous rallierons l’abbaye de Fontenay, la plus ancienne abbaye cistercienne conservée au monde et inscrite au Patrimoine Mondial de l’Unesco. Après l’avoir visitée nous déjeunerons dans le parc de l’abbaye.
L’après-midi nous flânerons dans le charmant village médiéval de Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, « Plus Beau Village de France », et découvrirons la fabrique artisanale des fameux anis de Flavigny.

Via friendly Burgundian roads along the Ouche valley and the Burgundy Canal, we will reach the Abbey of Fontenay, the oldest preserved cistercian abbey in the world and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After visiting it, we will have lunch in the park of the abbey.
In the afternoon we will stroll through the charming medieval village of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, “Most Beautiful Village in France”, and discover the artisanal manufacture of the famous anise of Flavigny.

Avant-programme / samedi 8 juin

Cette journée anniversaire sera placée sous le signe de l’automobile ancienne au circuit de Dijon-Prenois avec FACEL VÉGA invité d’honneur du « Grand Prix de l’Âge d’Or 2024 ». Nous pourrons assister aux diverses courses proposées et nos voitures seront invitées à tourner sur le circuit …

Les Facellistes non participants à l’ensemble du rallye pourront nous rejoindre pour la journée à Prenois et participer aux activités.

An exceptional day dedicated to vintage cars at the Dijon-Prenois circuit with FACEL VÉGA as guest of honor at the “Grand Prix de l’Âge d’Or 2024”. We will attend the various races and our cars will be invited to lap the circuit.

Facellists who are not participating in the whole rally will be able to join us for the day in Prenois and participate in the activities.

Avant-programme / samedi 8 juin (suite)

Après un déjeuner sur le circuit, la « Route des Grands Crus » aux noms évocateurs (Nuits-Saint-Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée …) nous conduira au château du Clos de Vougeot que nous visiterons avant de rejoindre un autre château à Savigny-lès-Beaune, lieu emblématique de la voiture et de la moto anciennes, où nous dînerons dans les salons historiques du château.

After lunch on site, the “Route des Grands Crus” with evocative names (Nuits-Saint-Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, etc.) will lead us to the Château du Clos de Vougeot, which we will visit before joining another castle in Savigny-lès-Beaune, an emblematic place for vintage cars and motorcycles, where we will dine in the historic salons of the castle.

Avant-programme / dimanche 9 juin

Après avoir visité librement les fameux musées du château de Savigny, nous reprendrons la route des vignobles avec la Côte de Beaune aux noms tout aussi évocateurs (Pommard, Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet…) pour rejoindre la station Bel Air à La Rochepot, site mythique au bord de l’ex Nationale 6. Nous serons invités au voyage dans les années 50 par un groupe de passionnés, dont des amis Facellistes, qui font vivre ce haut lieu. Ils nous accueilleront pour déguster un « repas gaulois » avant de nous initier à l’art de la tonnellerie et à un parcours olfactif des vins de Bourgogne …

After having freely visited the famous museums of the Château de Savigny, we will take the road back to the vineyards with the Côte de Beaune with equally evocative names (Pommard, Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet…) to reach the Bel Air gas station in La Rochepot, a mythical site on the edge of the former Nationale 6. We will be invited on a journey back to the 50s by a group of enthusiasts, including Facellist friends, who bring this high place to life. They will welcome us to taste a “Gallic meal” before introducing us to the art of cooperage and an olfactory tour of Burgundy wines…

Retour ensuite à Beaune pour visiter les fameux Hospices de Beaune où se déroulera notre dîner de gala dans le cadre majestueux du Bastion médiéval …

Avant-programme / lundi 10 juin matin

Nous quitterons nos hôtels à Beaune pour rejoindre le château de Commarin, propriété de la même famille depuis 900 ans ; nous le visiterons et, après un dernier déjeuner pris ensemble dans le joli cadre des écuries du château, viendra le moment de la séparation …

Monday 10 June morning, we will leave our hotels in Beaune to reach the château de Commarin, owned by the same family for 900 years; we will visit it and, after a last lunch taken together in the beautiful setting of the château’s stables, the moment of separation will come…
